Capoeira in Sheffield is taught by an internationally recognised group - Cordão de Ouro Capoeira.

Come to learn Afro dance and traditional Maculele dance forms. Come to learn Brazilian Capoeira instruments and music. Learn the history and the culture.

Cordão de Ouro Capoeira Sheffield has been established in Sheffield since 2004. CDO Sheffield has developed a strong social and community network within the city of Sheffield, has supported many events and charity fundraisers within Sheffield, including; Peace in the Park and Chance to Dance festivals.

Cordão de Ouro Sheffield Capoeira have done projects with Sheffield United Football Club and BBC Blast Tour.

Local media features include; S1 Magazine and the Sheffield Star.

The official Capoeira society for the University of Sheffield since 2005, and has worked with Sheffield Hallam University.

In addition, Cordão de Ouro Sheffield Capoeira run their own unique and highly successful Brazilian club nights; Veja Brazil and Joga Brazil (Cubana Tapas Bar, Sheffield), that have helped raise money for various charities in Brazil.

Cordão de Ouro have many world class instructors and masters of Capoeira who visit regularly to run Capoeira workshops in Sheffield. We not only teach but offer student development and improvement in all aspects of Capoeira.
