Beginners Courses - NEXT COURSE JANUARY 2025

This course will get you familiar with the basic moves of capoeira and give you a chance to apply them in a fun and safe way with our experienced instructors. We'll also introduce the music and rhythms of capoeira. Anyone of any level is welcome to these classes; you don't have to be super-fit or know how to do a cartwheel to enjoy learning capoeira!! Come and find a new passion and some great friends...

Capoeira Movement Class - Not running at the moment

Our capoeira movement class is open to all, irrespective of experience, age or fitness. We play fun games and create movement challenges which utilise the basic Capoeira movements. This is a very accessible class, and slowly builds to the Capoeira 'Roda' (circle) where we combine the learnings from the class. This is also a great class for anyone who simply wishes to move their body, but maybe doesn't fancy the gym :)



Capoeira Progression/Skills Class - Tuesday 6.30 - 8.30

Our capoeira progressions class is open to all, and again we use games and movement challenges throughout. In this class we also explore capoeira techniques, as well as working on the key fundamentals of co-ordination, mobility and strength. It's also a space to learn new skills, and each student is given a plan to work to their own goals.



Capoeira Movement/Skills Class - Thursday 6.30 - 8.30


Croft House Centre, 9 Garden St, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 4BJ



This class is open to all and is a hybrid of capoeira movement and some skill and conditioning progressions. All our students progress at their own speed so can improve in a sustainable and healthy way



Monthly Roda - New Barrack Tavern, Hillsborough



Capoeira is more than just movement and music. Its also a builder of community, so our monthly Roda is a social gathering where we get together to play, sing and chat. Contact us if you'd like to come along. All welcome :)



ADULT CLASS PRICING




PAYG: Student £6, Regular £8

Monthly: Student: £35, Regular £50


Classes can be paid on a PAYG basis or with a monthly payment which gives access to all classes. The Roda is always free, so if you don't have much time or are carrying an injury just come along and enjoy the music and community.

CLASSES FOR KIDS



Kids Classes @ Walkley Ebenezer Hall



Saturday 10:00-10:50am 3-7 years
Saturday 11:00-11:50am 7+ and experienced



3-7 years

In this class, children will learn the basic shapes of capoeira and have fun moving around and exploring what they can do. Adults get to do as much or as little of each activity as they like whilst supporting their children. Classes are £6 per session or £30 per term.


7+ and experienced

Children will learn the moves of capoeira in a fun and safe way with lots of games and interaction. They will build confidence, friendship, strength and skill as they put together the techniques into sequences and capoeira games in the roda (performance circle). Classes are £6 per session or £30 per term.
